Question Is this metallic board a VESA support?

I have this desktop and now I have the monitor also in the image (AOC AG251FG) which is VESA. I thought the holes were to attach the monitor but the holes in the metallic board aren't at the same distance than the monitor's ones.

Could it be a different sized VESA? What kind of adapter or anything would I need?

If you can't find the holes to align according to VESA's dimensions then no that perforated sheet of metal isn't meant for mounting a VESA capable monitor/display onto it. In fact, it's more for aesthetics, unless it's mentioned in the manual to that desk.

From the angle at which you took the picture, I think you're assuming it's a VESA mount since I think that monitor would impede you from mounting flush to that panel.
