Is this mobo a good choice? Asus P8Z68 Deluxe

hi,
im planning to build my first pc and im wondering if this mobo is a good choice for what i need.
im looking to buy an ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE, i want to combine it with a gtx 580 and an intel 2500k. i also would like to be able to upgrade in the future without needing to buy a new mobo.

ps: i also heard about mobos being pcie 3.0 ready? can someone tell me what exactly that means and if my mobo is 3.0 ready?

That's a fine choice of MB and equipment in general, but it's not PCI 3 ready. For that, you need the P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3 MB.

I do love the P8Z68 Deluxe, I have one myself, but I would tell you to get a GEN3 mobo. It worth
