I have looked into purchasing a 120hz monitor and what I have found is that they seem to be 24" or more. The average price for a 120hz monitor is $499.00.

In fast paced gaming, yes, it is quite a noticeable improvement.

yes, but, you would have to reach 144 fps, as far as i know, similar to 120hz.
even if you have 120hz, if your pc can only give you 30fps, then you won't see it.

i have 120hz, and yes, only a few games can my pc give me 100+
NBA 2k13 is smooth though, and ssf4:AE (even play this in 3d, very nice)
