Hey!

I put a PC together and it'll arrive in a few days. Now I'm really excited to build it together and get the best out of it :)

The relevant parts for this I got: (i think these are the relevant parts :D)
GTX 1060 6GB
GA AB350 Gaming
2x4GB DDR4-2666
Ryzen 5 1600

I have this monitor currently: https://www.amazon.de/Acer-S242HLDBID-Monitor-Reaktionszeit-schwarz/dp/B01AJTVCA8/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1521633352&sr=1-1&keywords=Acer+S242

Will this be a good enough monitor to get the best out of the system ? It's mainly for gaming.
And should I use a HDMI or DVI cable? Unfortunately it doesn't support DP, is this a huge drawback?

Update: Excuse me, I meant to link this one: https://www.amazon.de/Acer-S240HLBID-Monitor-Reaktionszeit-schwarz/dp/B005QVZ79C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1521634494&sr=8-2&keywords=acer+s240hlbid

Thanks and have a nice day! :)

the panel technology.

the display you currently selected is no difference from your old panel (TN)
tn= poor colours but can change colours very quick + a low input lag makes this display great for fps games ... however... u wont notice a difference between 1 and 5 ms unless you're a robot. You will notice difference from 144hz than 1-2 input lag is really nice.

2) the asus monitor has got an ips panel, this means great colours + great vieuwing angels from all sides . and 5ms 60fps is really sweet too ( now u will see a difference)

I've asked this question already but didn't find any solution where I'm 100% sure of.

Does it make a difference if I use HDMI or VGA? Or should I look further for a monitor with DP? Or does it not matter at all and I can just use whatever I have?
