I have this monitor that's 20 me that's right 20ms but I can play games very good on it and it responds very quick and the smart response (not sure what that is) is 8ms

I play Cs go and fps games and I can play games pretty good with this monitor and I have seen threads that say 20ms is horrible I only bought this because I can't afford good monitors and built my computer from parts I got for a gift.the title of the monitor says 5ms so I bought it at the msy shop but then When I checked the specs after a few months it says 20ms!

Thanks and I feel guilty for buying a really bad monitor with my hard earned money I just wanted to ask is it really that bad?

Thanks

If you are playing games with it, and it feels fine, then there isn't a problem. Unless you start to find the slower response time bothering you, I think you should be fine.
Response time deals with ghosting, and I think you are talking about input lag. 20ms might be black to black since it doesn't say gtg like it does for smart response. That might just be what is called overdrive which all monitors have to help response times. If you have no ghosting issues, then you are fine. 8ms still isn't an issue at 60hz.
