Hi everyone,
I bought a Ryzen 5 2600x, and was thinking of purchasing the "MSI - X370 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard," but when i go to pcpartpicker (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PMHczY).
It says that my CPU might not be compatible with this motherboard. I've heard other wise as well so I am a little confused. Can some tell me if this motherboard works with the 2600x, and if not what is a good replacement?

Sorry just to clarify, the motherboard I listed won't work the ryzen 5 2600x?
If so would this mother board be a good option?

The X370 *is* compatible with the Ryzen 2xxx series, *but* only with a BIOS update. If you buy an X370 motherboard that has been sitting in a warehouse for a long time, it will have an outdated BIOS, and it won't work until you update the BIOS. But you can't update the BIOS until you install a working CPU. So it's a chicken and egg problem.

As Calvin7 said, you're better off just buying a B450 or an X470 that was designed especially for the Ryzen 2xxx.
