with this mobo I could re-use the i7 4700MQ and the 12GB of ram inside my overheating HP laptop. I was going to pair it up with an R9 380 and an XFX 550w powersupply+The AC adapter for my laptop, I just wanted to know if their would be any problems, like would the AC adapter be able to supply enough power to the PCIe slot and if not, will the GPU get the power from the 2 6 pins?

P.S. this will be used for gaming

Interesting Mobo there. Assuming you can pull out the CPU from the laptop Mobo (hopefully you can) then it looks like that Mobo might support the CPU. It has a different socket type (FCPGA946) and the Mobo you listed has Socket rPGA947, which might not be compatible (assuming I'm looking at the correct CPU specs).

You need 12-19V of power for the Mobo (not sure on the Amps needed, but maybe not too much). The dGPU would use up to 75w (assuming it follows standard Mobo specifications) and the PSU would support the additional power for the dGPU.

Im pretty sure the only difference between FCPGA946 and rPGA947 is that the rPGA947 is QM87 and FCPGA946 is HM87 so just the chip sets are different, still the same socket

Well if that is the case, then go for it. I'm interested in the power connection for the Mobo and how that will work with your HP PSU brick. Hopefully you don't need to change the plug on the end of the PSU brick to get it to plug into the Mobo, but that could be interesting.

Maybe I will, if I don't I will just get a pentium G4500 or i3 6100 and a B150 or H170 motherboard
