Hi,Is this motherboard any good for my build.I have had people say that it causes performance issues.

I personally dont know but I can recommend the Asus Z97-A/USB 3.1 its a very solid motherboard.

What CPU are you using, I wouldn't use a haswell CPU anymore, using skylake is better. You could get a good z170 mobo.

That motherboard is fine although there are better options. The one djreedj mentioned is very good at overclocking.

I'd recommend something like the ASROCK pro 4 lga 1150 if you want a high quality motherboard that is no fuss.

Money is a pretty good reason. Skylake is more expensive with little to no extra performance and has a cheaper PCB. I'd take previous gen anyday over skylake.

That's really fine, you aren't missing out on anything and right now prices are inflated for Skylake processors.
