Is this motherboard good?

Found this good ASRock Mobo for a good price:

Only problem I see is that it's an H55 and is LGA 1156 rather than 1155, is there a difference, could I run a i3 on this?

The i3 cpus are for socket 1156 boards only. The board you selected will work fine. But it's open box, so it probably is the board only. If you need the accessories including the backplate, spend a little more for the retail box version, or write asrock america at the usa address and they will send you the backplate for about $5.

As long as the CPU you put it in is also a socket 1156. A 1155 socket CPU will not fit. I would just go with the retail version honestly, so you don't have to deal with contacting Asrock for a backplate and SATA cables.
