Is this new build good to go?

Hello all,

I've not upgraded in many years and am currently using a 2500k, 8gb of 1333mhz ram and a pretty ancient psu (With a couple of SSDs).

I'm looking to build a machine that will last me 2 or 3 years and have come up with the following:

How does this look? It'll be mainly used for gaming, but I'm also a software developer that works with a lot of VM's and multithreaded code, hence the desire for the large amount of RAM and the i7 cpu.

I also spend some time on things like X Plane 10 so I'm hoping the CPU will give a good boost there. Is this system fairly future proof for a few years at least?

imo you don't need 32gb of RAM 16GB should be fine. I'd suggest a GTX 980 but an R9 nano is a great gpu for the price. I personallly prefer this is a parts list:
