Is this normal after overclocking

I overclocked my FX-8320 by 100Mhz to start off and now when i'm turning on my PC sometimes it will turn on for a second then shut off and I have to press the power button again for it to properly turn on so is this normal or is there a way to fix this? BTW my mobo is a GA-970A-UD3P

It sounds like it isn't taking your settings and shutting down. When you then start it again it has gone to default bios settings...check.

Well when I boot into windows and go into cpu-z it says its running at my overclocked settings.

Then I am not sure. Hopefully an OC expert will come and help.

I'd start by listing your whole build including PSU.
