Hey everyone, I have an i7 7700k and a 1080 Graphics card, I was wondering how come when I go to task manager it says i have - 4 Cores and 8 Logical Processors (This is normal?), Also when i go to my boot options (advanced settings) it says i have 1 processor on but when i click on the number of processors it says i have 8?, Can anyone tell me what the amount of processors should be on? Is the 1 fine? or shall i increase it to maybe 4 or 8?
Sorry if my questions are stupid Im new to this aspect of computers and gaming
Any help would be amazing thank you guys!

Yes. That CPU just like most current gen Intels are Quadcores with additional logical cores (aka virtual cores).

That means you basically have a 8 core CPU. However, virtual cores never perform as well as physical cores, because it is basically splitting 4 cores into 8 by nature.

So what you are seeing is correct.

Processers is equal to the amount of PHYSICAL CPUS installed on the system. You only have one. So leave it on one.
