As the title says. Is this normal vram usage for idle windows?

And with some programs running its going up to 500mb vram (spotify skype, Waterfox(browser) Team viewer as an example)
I've only got 2 gb vram so i'm concernd if this has an negative effect on gaming

A standard dual monitor set up @ 1080pwill use around(or just over) 300MB idle, so 200ish as in your screenshot for one monitor is fine.
You need to remember that it takes vram just to render and display the screen, and thats usually double buffered. Plus with the amount of colours used now your looking at a fair bit of video ram needed.

Well thats kinda up to him what he does and doesnt want open. Doesnt seem excessive to me.

I've got a 3monitor setup, 2 "extra monitors" at 1280 X 1024@60hz and my main monitor 1920 X 1080@60hz so i guess it normal, as i said it can go up to 500m vram if i've got spotify and My web browser opened, just a few examples.
