Is this normal or backlight bleed? [Samsung C24F390)

I recently bought a Samsung C24F390 (VA panel) monitor since I read that VA panels exhibit low amounts of backlight bleeding and that there's no glow like in IPS monitor. Well, when I got my monitor, I found that it did have some type of glow or backlight bleeding (can't tell which, maybe it's a "VA glow") on the top and bottom of the monitor. Is this normal for VA panels? Did I get a faulty unit? Should I get an entirely different monitor or should I exchange this for a new one and hope the next one I get isn't like this?

Here are pictures taken of the Samsung and my old monitor (an HP LE2201w, TN panel) in the same conditions:

Va doesn't have a glow. If you change viewing angle and it stays then you know it's the backlight. Va doesn't have less backlight bleed. It's the same for any panel with a backlight simply because that's an issue with using backlights. Some people have reported the issue but that happens for the same reason. It's not normal.
