Question is this normal?

hi folks

just wondering if its normal for disc usage to hit 100% when you open your internet browser, i have about 16 tabs opening. it hits 100% stays there for a few seconds than goes down to under 10%.

is this normal?

That sounds normal.
It can be fairly normal for the CPU to go to 100% upon loading most any app as the CPU needs to load the apps program/data into memory etc right at the beginning.
