Unless RAM prices are totally out of whack where you live, the price difference between 8 and 16 GB should be pretty small relative to the total price of your build.

There are two versions out there. The older one is just not of high quality. The newer ones are okay. While certainly large enough, there are just options out there that don't cost much more that will last longer. Higher quality parts, better efficiencies, even further modularity.

Good power supplies come with 7-10 year warranties, and I have a few that old, they still work. Can't say the same of some of the power supplies I bought before the 80+ standard was established.
