Hello.

As stated in the title, I would like to know if this build is fine as it is, in terms of quality, everything is compatible with each other and everything will fit in the case.

CPU: Intel Core i5 6600k
CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 Gaming
Motherboard: Asus Z170-A
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR4 x1
Power Supply: Thermaltake SMART SE 630W 80+ Bronze
Case: Collermaster N400 or Corsair Carbide 200R (Corsair case preferred)

Sorry for, yet, another PC Build thread. Thanks.

It's a good build man. Though, I'm not so sure if Thermaltake is the best brand of PSU you can get. It's true rated, but I think I've read somewhere that Thermaltake PSUs aren't that good. Not sure though. You might want to get a Corsair or Seasonic instead. I need a second opinion on this.

Fine for what? The GTX 1060 is a good GPU for certain resolutions but not for others that would need a GTX 1070.

The PSU may not be good. Thermaltake SMART is listed as a Tier 4 PSU, though I'm not sure if the SMART SE is any better. Tier 4 is a tier you want to avoid.

That board also has 4 DIMM slots - you should buy either a 2x4GB kit or a 2x8GB kit to run in dual channel. I wouldn't suggest going with 1x8GB with the intention of upgrading to 16GB via a second 8GB module later on. They may be incompatible - just get the dual kit now and save yourself the trouble. I'd suggest 2x8GB just so you won't need to upgrade it any time soon.

Your CPU/GPU balance leans towards CPU. Depends on what you want to do with it - computational tasks with light gaming is what this would be made for. If you want a pure gaming machine, then I'd suggest going with an i5-6400 or an i5-6500 and a cheaper H110 motherboard and throwing the savings into a better GPU. You could also dump the Hyper 212 Evo and use the stock heatsink since those CPUs are not overclockable anyways there's nothing unsafe about using the stock heatsink.

Low Profile Gamer and n0ns3ns3, thank you for posting your opinion and helping me out! :)

joex444, thank you as well for your detailed opinion on this. Is it that preferable to change the CPU into a cheaper one and the Motherboard to H110 to get a GTX 1070? Note that this PC will be used mostly for gaming. Also, since the CPU (Intel Core i5 6600K) doesn' t have a stock heatsink, what would you recommend for air cooling? I thought Coolermaster 212 EVO would be good enough.

What PSU would you guys recommend?

RM650x is around 80$ now. excellent unit.
What monitor you are using ?
GTX 1070 is an excellent card and kinda overkill for 1080p@60Hz gaming.
It also requires powerful CPU in some games to reach to it's full potential. if you are planing 1440p gaming, a 1070 would make sense.
BTW I think that EVGA GTX 1060 SC GAMING has higher clock speeds and lower price than G1. They also have best warranty/support.

100 euros for a PSU seem to be too much for my budget, so if there are no good cheap options i' ll go with the Corsair VS Series VS650 80+.
I will be using a 1080 monitor for at least a year.
The EVGA GTX 1060 is not available yet in my country and i can't wait any longer, so i'll go with the Gigabyte.

Just to make sure, if i use this build:

CPU: Intel Core i5 6600k
CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 Gaming
Motherboard: Asus Z170-A
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 4GB DDR4 x2
Power Supply: Corsair VS Series VS650 80+
Case: Corsair Carbide 200R

everything will fit in the case and be compatible with each other, right?

I live in Greece. The thing is, i was gonna spend around 800 euros, but i went overboard and reached almost 1200 euros. Can you recommend a PSU that is around 80 euros? 100 is just too much, i am overexceeding my current budget (1100 euros).

This is one of the sites i use to browse for things i need to buy.

The XFX TS 550W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply seems to be at a good price

Would you recommend it?

I' ve browsed a bit on that thread you posted, but i' ll probably search more tomorrow for a PSU.

You don't need to search any more PSUs, but could you answer me if everything in this build

CPU: Intel Core i5 6600k
CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 Gaming
Motherboard: Asus Z170-A
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 4GB DDR4 x2
Case: Corsair Carbide 200R

will fit in the case and be compatible with each other? (disregard the PSU)

Thanks for all your help :)
