is this pc enough for today gaming?

It's an odd setup with the Xeon and dual 270x...I assume these are parts you already own and have scrapped together bit by bit? the reason I ask is because, if you plan to build this from scratch there are better ways. So please provide some background.

It will play most games though as such.

 
It's not bad, it's just not ideal. How about a single R9 280?

Your motherboard and PSU will handle Crossfire 270X just fine, but adding a second GPU doesn't mean twice the performance and twice the VRAM. The end result (i.e. frame rate) is also entirely dependent on how well optimised a particular game is for Crossfire.
