Hello, this is my first time building a computer. I want to play games like GTA IV and GTA V (and other FPS, RPGs games) with Icenhancer at max settings. I was wondering if this is a good PC for gaming at max settings:

Specs:

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Mobo: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory/RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB ACX 2.0 Video Card
PSU: Corsair Professional 750W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
OS: Microsoft Windows 8 (OEM) (64-bit)
Monitor: Asus VG248QE 144Hz 24.0" Monitor

Total: $1537.55

Solution
Yup! Although you'd get a lot more bang for you buck if you SLI'd two 970s. I'll post a build shortly. Make sure you get Windows 8.1.

Thanks for the reply :)
Will I get almost any game maxed with 2 970's SLI?
I will be getting Windows 8.1 after I buy Windows 8. It's free after a purchase of Windows 8.

This is awesome! :) Thanks. I may consider buying 2 970s. :) Cheers

Easily, especially 1080p! As long as the game in question isn't Watch_Dogs or Assassin's Creed: Unity or some other horrible PC port, you'll get some high FPS!
Here are benchmarks at 2K resolution: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_970_sli_review,16.html

I just want to game at 1080p with max settings. Thanks, again 🙂

Expect about 1.8x the FPS from those benchmarks on 1080p. And no problem! Please pick one of my answers as the solution.
