Hello! I got this pc for gaming and other tasks on 2015 approx, and I wanted to see if I should upgrade it soon or just leave it how it is.
The specs are:

- Intel Core i7 7820k (CPU)
- G.Skill Ripjaws 16 GB DDR3
- MSI GeForce Gtx970 Gaming 4G
- Seagate Barracuda 2TB
- Corsair LX128GB SSD
- EVGA 850W Gold Power Supply
- Corsair H80i liquid cooling

Pretty sure the i7 in your...

Actually a pretty bad one, Asus vn247h-p which is 1080p and like 75Hz

Why do you think your system is bad?
If you wanna upgrade monitor to 1440P or 2K you need 1070 for that and CPU is pretty good, for 1080P GTX 970 can probably max out.

For now i would wait for 1180 or 1200 or whatever Nvidia GPU series are coming out then upgrade would be good since you can sell that rig and buy i7 or i9 CPU with 1180 nvidia series GPU.

I don't think that my system is bad, is just that i've heard of many games comming up and Im not sure if my pc will handle them. And probably in the future I might go for 2k, but yeah, I believe it's a great idea to wait for future GTX series and i7's. Although, if I wait so long to sell my used pieces, don't you believe that they might devalue?

Pretty sure the i7 in your build is NOT the 7820k, but the 4820k. The 7820k cannot take DDR3 RAM. The 4820k was released Q3 2013.

It is still relevant and will hold its weight, but upgrades are not a bad idea.
