Hello! I got this pc for gaming and other tasks on 2015 approx, and I wanted to see if I should upgrade it soon or just leave it how it is.
The specs are:
- Asus P9x79 (Motherboard)
- Intel Core i7 7820k (CPU)
- G.Skill Ripjaws 16 GB DDR3
- MSI GeForce Gtx970 Gaming 4G
- Seagate Barracuda 2TB
- Corsair LX128GB SSD
- EVGA 850W Gold Power Supply
- Corsair H80i liquid cooling

Grand Theft Auto V, Fortnite, Farcry Primal, Tom Clancy, Destiny 2, Starwars, Battlefield 4, those sorts of games. And I usually play at 1080p

Well the CPU is really good, the only upgrade thing would be an GPU, an 1060 6GB or new 1100 series (if you are willing to wait) GPUs of nvidia or RX 570 for maxing out games at 1080P, higher than that like 1070/ti could be used for 1440P and higher for 2K or even for 4K if you are going to upgrade your monitor to higher resolution in future.

By CPU you mean i7-4820K? https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/P9X79/HelpDesk_CPU/

I am totally willing to wait some months for newer cards to release. And yes sorry, I meant 4820k not 7820k. And I was at first considering on selling my CPU, MoBo and RAM for a decent amount of money (I saw the selling prices for this pieces are quite high right now) and purchasing new CPU, MoBo and DDR4 RAM which can be better for gaming, what do you think?

Well, i've seen some 4820k's being sold for something like 500-1000 dollars, which would be perfect to even get the 8700k, although I won't overclock, I still like that better performance over the 8400.
