Hi guys,
so I built my first PC the other day and I want to know if it is good enough to run anything at 1080p 60FPS on at least high settings.

The rig is:
Motherboard- MSI b85m-e45
RAM- HyperX FURY Series 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL10 DIMM
Graphics Card- GTX 970 4GB, PCI Express, DDR5, 256 Bit
Processor- Intel Core I7-5790K
PSU- Corsair CX 600 wat
Cooler Master hyper 212 EVO cpu cooler

Is this good enough for what I want?

An unlocked i7 is a waste for gaming, especially 1080p.
You paired an unlocked processor with a locked motherboard, and a cheap one at that.
CX PSUs use cheap capacitors, that tend to fail quite often.
I dont know what storage you are planning to use, but I dont see an SSD in there at all.
You should have gotten CAS latency 9 ram over CL10.

None of this will directly lower performance persay, however its not the optimal list.

Any recommendations for a motherboard and RAM with this rig? :)

Gam3r01, i cant help but disagree with you on a personal level about the CX level PSUs. In my experience, they are fantastic. I had a 970, water cooling, ssd, hdd, OC FX 6300 running @4.5 GHz, etc, and that was on a 430 watt CX psu. Now of course, i should have had a higher wattage, But that thing lasted years through previous builds as well. But yes, you will need an SSD if you want a good pc gaming experience.

Im from the UK, and as for budget, it's more of a case that I would rather not spend any more than £200 because of what I have already spent on the rig I posted. :)

The CX units work fine, until the capacitors fail on them. The unit itself is quality, but the second rate Chinese caps let the unit down. My CX500 went out after 8 months, and many others can agree on this point. Theres a reason its listed as a tier 3 unit.

As for the build, you dont need to replace any of the components necessarily. They arent what I would have gotten, but they will still work.
