is this phone any good? is it good for social media and some games? samsung galaxy a5 2017

i plan on buying a samsung galaxy a5 2017 and i have a few questions about it.
is the 3gb enough? beacuse im looking for a phone thats not gonna lag or freeze when multi-tasking.
is it worth waiting for the 2018 model or i should just get this one while its on sale in my local shop?
is the 1.9ghz octa core cpu paired with the 3gb ram enough for my needs?

More than enough for any social media and browsing and should be okay for any games that aren't super super intensive. Think of the A5 2017 as a slightly better Galaxy S6.

yea thats preety good than right? i watched alot of reviews and everyone is saying that it can run games and its preety good. almost like a budget s7. ive seen that it even has some features that the s8 uses
