I'm building a system that will consist of:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core
8gb ram
1- 250gb hard drive
256mb graphics card
380w sea sonic PS.
dvd\cdrom writer

the 380watt shoul dbe fine...right?

yes but if you find later on that you need more graphics power (hard to say because you didn't specify what GPU you will use, or what your uses for this PC are...) then you might want a better PSU. These will support any single GPU you choose:

^+1. I vote for the Corsair 550VX, it's enough to power most cards (up to 4870) or if going with something like a 4670 the 380W SeaSonic will be enough, for a 9800GT or so a Corsair 400CX will do.
