Is this power supply good enough?

Solution
Well... to answer your original question.
550w is plenty for a 7850.

If, for any reason, the psu starts to fail or does not produce proper power, I would expect to see artifacts or instability.

You should be good.

And... good going on building with used parts.
It is usually a good way to go if you are on a budget and buy from honest sellers.

^^^ to add on to this: an AMD CPU is great for the budget-conscious (in the ~$100-$150 range, they have some good options for the price). But in your case, you're spending over $300 for CPU/motherboard/water cooling, which probably means you're planning on a major overclock. In those cases, I'd say better to spend the money on an i5 and start out with higher performance at stock, rather than try to force it out of a CPU from the next tier down. If you still want to overclock, you can always do that later and you'll have a higher ceiling.

Good point on the cooler. ^
Spending more on a cooler than the cpu is crazy economics.
Spending $120 on a i3-4150 and $50-$80 on a lga1150 motherboard will allow you to spend an extra $100 for a better graphics card. See if the rumored GTX960 arrives in October.
Better graphics is the key to a good gamer.

nahhh the cooler was originally a seidon 120l i got for $30 from tigerdirect on sale, then i RMA it, they didnt have any left so they gave me that :)

also i overclocked my cpu to 4.3 ghz and it runs perfect! i was just wondering if this would be too much power consumption.

i got that insane case because i was sick and tired of all the shitty cases i've had.

the GPU only costed me $60 (because i bought it from a guy on craigslist, i've had it running for a year and it works perfect)

also, the motherboard was on sale at the time for $70

in conclusion, this build was cheap AF, i had saved so much money on this build :)
