Hi everyone, I've been asking on the forum for some upgrade advice and all I need now is a good PSU, here are my components:

Ryzen 3 3200g
Gigabyte A-320 S2H
Rx6600 (will buy it with the PSU)

This is the PSU I've been checking out:

I'm using a cooler Master 500 White WME. Pc part picker says everything takes up to 285W but I'd like to feel safe in case the current PSU isn't enough. Thanks for your time

Hey there,

So, it's a decent enough PSU, not the best, not the worst either. If you could snag a Corsair RMx for the same price, I'd go for that.

With that said, 750 w is way overkill for your system. A decent 550w is plenty. Something like a Corsair TX550m.

How is a PSU that is known to explode considered decent? Keeping cost similar, this would be a far better choice, as it won't burn your house down.

Why would they sell it if it has a risk of malfunctioning, that was a close one. The RGB is a bit too much though, my PSU faces down so I won't see a nice effect inside the case XD. So Basically what other brands should I trust?

No it's not a good PSU. Run fast run far.

I'm pretty sure Gigabyte have released an updated version. But yes, @logainofhades mentioned this particular one had a very poor reputation, and a few testers had them explode.

There are many good brands. But brand isn't necessarily the most important thing.

EVGA/Corsair/Seasonic/Super Flower are all good brands. For the most part their PSU's are high quality. But as you've learned today, it's good to get an opinion, in case you miss something.
