Hello, community;
It's been a few years since I built my current computer, and back in the day someone recommended a PSU (EVGA 850 G2 80 Plus Gold). Here are my current specs:
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC14PE
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z97MX-Gaming
Memory: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz
Hard Drive: 1TB Western Digital WDC (SATA )
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 4GB
PSU: EVGA 850 G2 80 Plus Gold
OS: Windows 10
Monitor: An old Sony 50-Inch LED TV
Due to my job, I will soon have to travel back and forth between two houses, and I want to build a new PC for my secondary location. Here is my idea so far:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 3600
Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo or a Noctua NH-U12S (I have no idea if this cooler would be enough)
MOBO: I still have no clue. Something compatible I guess.
Memory: Two 8GB sticks DDR4, I mean, I need to do some research.
Hard Drive: I really don't know yet.
SSD: I still have no idea.
GPU: GTX 1660 Super. (I am on the fence with the 5700 XT, I have come across many known issues)
PSU: EVGA 850 G2 80 Plus Gold (Is this an overkill?)
OS: Windows 10
Monitor: I still don't know
I am starting all over again. I built my current computer when the GTX 980 had just been released. So, I am re-learning everything.
Just a quick note. I am a 1080p 60 FPS kind of guy. Electricity in my country is not as cheap, so I'm trying to keep my build as power-efficient as possible.
I appreciate any advice that you can offer. Thanks, guys.
