Is this psu enough

I'm getting this build(most likely)

amd fx 8320
cooler master hyper 212 evo
Asus m5a99fx pro r2.0
sapphire hd 7870 xt
corsair vengeance 8gb 1600 cl9
Zalman z11 plus

Can a xfx pro550 core edition handle this?

If not what psu should I get?:

XFX Core Edition PRO650W
Corsair CX750

both are the same price

both are fine for your cpu and gpu. i would get the corsair though as they have a better reputation for building quality psu. the XFX is not bad by any means though.

From what I was reading many people said the xfx was better. when I use psu calculater it said 598watt rec. should I get the cx600 or the xfx 550?

im not quite sure how you got 600w as what you need! im using a 500w psu on a system containing a 7970, i7 2600k and a complete water cooling system. when i calculated what you would need on the same site it said you would only need 500w and that was overclocking the cpu to 5.0 ghz at 1.5v!!!

just looked at what I maybe wanted to get in the future and saw a dvd drive is taking a lot of power, aslo I looked at the case fans that fitted in my case and added an extra hdd and the difference is huge.

Get the Corsair cx600m < Modular

the xfx has 2 more years and extra warrenty and many people said to get it over the corsair on in other treaths. Should I still get the corsair?

XFX is Seasonic made which are also nice units.

The Corsair is modular the XFX isn't , but either one would be a great choice.

why do people recommend a 550 watt over a 600 watt(with also great build quality). Do they perform the same because the xfx has better build quality?
