I've got a GTX 1080 Ti and a Ryzen 1800X and I wasn't wondering if a 800 watt PSU is enough.

Ohh Yes, more than enough.

Now this with some modification:

The power consumption of a graphics card is the sum of two powers:
the PCI-Express X16 power: up to 75W
PCI-Express power supply connectors:
up to 75W for the 6-pin version
up to 150W for the 8-pin version
So the max theoretical power consumption of a card can’t exceed 75+75+150 = 300W.

This is more than enough to power your machine.

Depends on the PSU, just because they slapped an 800w label on it doesn't mean it can come anywhere close to that without exploding. Whats the make and model of the PSU?
