So i have an ASUS PRIME B450M-K motherboard and im looking for a ram upgrade. The ram i want to buy is a kit 2x8gb at 3000 mhz. My motherboard says that it supports 3000 mhz but only when overclocked. Would it support these that are still 3000 mhz but are not overclocked?
It will support those RAM modules, but only run at the 2666MHz or 2400MHz. Once you have your system up and running, you can then go into BIOS and enable A-XMP which will allow your RAM to run at it's rated 3000MHz speed.
