Is this RX580 a good buy?

Solution
I would not buy a graphics card with a 3 month warranty unless it were priced significantly better than the competition. A number of years back, I had a card with a 1 year warranty that failed only a few months after the warranty expired, and I ended up buying a new card that was only marginally better to replace it with.

Considering most graphics cards come with 3 year warranties now, I would personally try to avoid going for anything less. At least if your card fails after 3 years, you can consider it a good opportunity for an upgrade to a much faster card in a similar price range.

And there are other RX 580s for not much more than that price with better warranties to choose from, including a few other 8GB models...

It is new. If you will check the link, the Gigabyte site also mentioned that the card's warranty is only 3 months.

I'm fairly sure the warranty is because it's the model they released for Mining hence the MI in the product name. Other than that it will be fine as a normal GPU for Gaming and i'd advise getting a card with more warranty new if you can. But if this is a lot cheaper than anything else around the performance bracket, it's up to you. I've personally never had to use warranty on a Graphics Card as none has ever died on me or faulted in my ownership but it's a risk you'll need to think about taking yourself. Hope this helps! :)

If you've waited 3 years, it might also be worth waiting a another couple months or so, since Nvidia is in the process of launching a new generation of cards, and I expect they will release the 2060 by around November. Even before then, we'll probably see prices dropping further on the RX 580 and GTX 1060.
