Hey Guys 🙂,

im planning to upgrade my system and remove my FX8350 finally. ( This processor bottlenecks everything -.- i want to play PUBG while Streaming with Twitch and i get like 10 FPS ...)
So what i want to buy for a good System with Streaming potential is this:

CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K 6x 3,70GHz So.1151 WOF
Mainboard: MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon Intel Z370 So.1151 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX Retail
Cooling: Corsair Hdyro H115i Pro RGB 280mm
RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3000 DIMM CL 15 Dual Kit

I want to keep my PSU ( Corsair 750W, maybe i will replace it for a modular system with cable management later, but for now i keep it)
I also want to keep my GPU its an 8GB Sapphire Radeon R9 290X Vapor-X Tri-X active PCIe 3.0 x16 . I will replace it later for an 1080ti i think, and maybe i want to get 2 of them for 4k experience if i saved enough money. I just want to be able to put 2 1080ti in it , is this mainboard ok for that?

My Main question is are the parts good i choosed? And which Case should i buy and with coolings for the case? I want to have a window for my RGB System and i also want to have nice Temps while playing and Streaming.

I hope you guys can help me out. Im at 800€ now i dont want to go over 1000€, can you suggest me a nice case which fits in this pricerange with nice maybe even rgb fans? I still have my corsair fans . they are not that old shall i keep them? :) i will go for a blue lighted setup anyway. Blue and black are my colors.

Hope you guys can help me out <3, i have a bit experience but not that much tho...

Best regards Freggel <3

PS: Can i overclock a bit with this system later? I know i need to learn how to do that, i mean if i could do it like to 5ghz maybe. Its not a must have tho.

Solution
If your wifi source is near and you don't need a powerful router or if you already have a router in ur home n just want to connect, choose the AC.

The wifi and non wifi boards are the same otherwise.
I know the feeling of running on an FX chip hahaha. Just an idea but you could potentially mirror my system as my system has been running great since I built it in December. Of course I'm running on an air cooler rather than a liquid AIO so you have much better OC head room than I do. I can speak from experience doing a similar upgrade that you're doing that the 8700k feels a MILLION times better than the FX8370 I was running (Which is even better than the FX8350 believe it or not)

Now on the case I'd once again highly suggest the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M. It's got a stunning TG panel along with excellent intake airflow. The intake fans are RGB too (However I have yet to figure out how to set them up) along with being dead silent. You will need a fan controller to be able to operate the intake fans though of course. Overall I think if you copy my build with some minor tweaks along the way to fit your budget you'll be very pleased. I may also add that having a black and white build is the most versatile in ways of design as the white on the interior of my case holds the RGB colors amazingly. My computer can basically be any color scheme I want at any time using AURA Sync on my computer. Which brings me to the next thing. The Motherboard you selected, while it is perfectly fine and is comparable if not better than my motherboard, you'd be missing in the compatability with the RGB software you'd need. AURA Sync is one of the most supported RGB software currently available so I'd highly suggest buying an Asus mobo.

On a side note if youre using Open Broadcasting Software I'd recommend using the graphics card encoder. I don't know much about AMD cards but there is an option to encode videos/streams off an Nvidia GPU which is a MILLION times better than the CPU. My 8700k would cook itself before it could record 1080p 60fps videos.

I'll leave the link to my PC Part picker build,
Happy Building!

First off all thank you for your fast responses and for helping me out. 🙂 The cases you both listed are pretty cool. Im thinking of the corsair 600c. But how is the airflow of that case and which size for fans should i get. I want a cool system. I have bluelighted corsair fans i think they are 120mm in diameter. I would keep them if you guys say they make a good airflow but i dont know which model exactly. I think you do nothing wrong with corsair fans.

About the Asus mainboard i dont think i need it. I watched linustechtips and the msi mainboard rgb system works great with corsair rams. Has Asus an advantage over MSI. I've never had bad experience with this brand .
Would you add something to the system later? I will go for m.2 storage ofc 😀.

I looked at your pcpartpicker list and its a great setup 11gb gpu holy moly ... xD . Nice job!
For the case i like to be able to simply open it like the corsair 600c . Why do you go for Asus mainboard? At the german internetstore mindfactory.de , there are sales now for msi mobos. Thats why i choosed it.
Btw: can you help me building it when i got everything. You have discord? 😛

Thanks and best regards Freggel

If i want to go for the bigger version of the AIO watercooling from corsair h150i with 360mm radiator, th eonly option avaible is to mount it on the bottom, is that ok? Or shall i get the smaller version with 280mm rad to mount it on the front?

Alternate cpu coolers that I would suggest :

Evga clc 280 : https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/d2fmP6/evga-clc-280-1135-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-400-hy-cl28-v1

Kraken x62 : https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/2RdFf7/nzxt-kraken-x62-rev-2-982-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-rl-krx62-02

Ur psu is not that great imo. Better get a new one.

The cpu cooler should go on the top as exhaust. I know this will use the hot air in the case, but the liquid cooler would be more than enough for gaming loads.

You can get this if you want : led strip

Hey Lucky thanks for the reply. You prefer the trident ram over the corsair ones? To your AIO watercooling systems you mentioned, i heared smthing bad about nxzt. The psu looks great tho thanks for that.
I really like the carbide case 600c from corsair
Will the h150i AIO watercooling fit with 360mm radiator?

Best regards freggel

The only bad thing about NZXT is that their CAM software can be a bit on the problematic side. But if you don't plan on using that then you don't have to worry.

As far as the RAM goes - the G Skill is the better RAM as it uses the Samsung B-die where the Corsair Vengeance uses HK-Hynix B-die. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing but if you start getting into the high overclocking settings then having the stronger B-die (Samsung) helps.

Hey Lucky thanks for the reply again. The corsair case (600c) is really nice i like the opendoor feature. But if you say the tridentZ rams are better if i plan to OC in the near future ill buy them. The MSI pro carbon board and trident rams working good together or is an asus boardbetter with the gskill rams? How is the cooling comparing nzxt x62 vs h115 corsair?

Best regards freggel

@Lucky all right thank you so much for helping me out. the msi board is just fine? Or is Asus the better option ? My price limit for a board would be 150 € . Where would you mount the x62 aio on the corsair case? Do you have discord/teamspeak? I really want to talk about the topic with you

Nah, I don't have discord.

It's better to have the kraken in the front as intakes. The bottom intake fans will cool up the gpu and the rear exhaust for sucking all the hot air out.

The high end boards of Asus like the Strix are good. For a 150 buck mobo, better stick to msi.

Hey lucky its me again. Thank you again! Hadnt time to respond so quickly sorry! I would go for the MSI . Is the OC capability of the pro carbon board good? I dont want to go full OC just a little 🙂best regards Freggel

Hey Lucky alright thank you for the informations! Here is my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kykPsZ
I choosed the AC version of the mainboard because of wlan bluetooth function, Did they just add Wlan bluetooth or do i have to give up to something useful from the otherboard, are the boards all the same except of the wlan bluetooth function then i choose the wlan bluetooth board ofc 😀. I will use my 2x SSD`s for now but later i will buy m.2 SSD i think and another HDD , Ive put 2x 8gbs of ram you think its enough for the games today? I can still upgrade to 32 gb if i want is this ok for the next 10 years you think? :) The 2x16gb option is a bit expensive tho...
Thank you for helping me so much!
Best regards Freggel!

Alright thank you Lucky will choose the corsair psu 🙂. The last question i have is about the mainboards i mentioned . There are 2 versions of the pro carbon. The one with AC and the one without. Are the 2 boards complete the samev? Just 1 has wlan and bluetooth. Which would you get. Or shall i just buy adapters for Bluetooth and stuff? Best regards Freggel
