Around nine months or so, I started asking around, trying to come up with a good build. I came up with this:

Motherboard - ASRock P67 Extreme4
CPU - Intel Core i7-2600K
RAM - G.SKILL Value Series 8GB
Case - Lexa S.
Graphics - GIGABYTE GV-R695D5-2GD-B
Hard Disk - Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
Power Supply - Antec Earthwatts EA-650 Green
Heat Sink - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
DVD Drive - Sony Optiarc Black 24X

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the money together until now. Is this still a good choice, or do I have to change the components for better versions? I will be using it for a lot of stuff, from animation and game design(2D and 3D), 3d modeling, graphic design, video editing, special effects, and also gaming.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

For video editing you might want to look at the Z68 chipset, as it allows you to use Lucid Logix. It uses your integrated GPU and your Discrete GPU to give you better encoding/whatever times. That looks good though. Oh and I googled your Graphics card, and newegg said it was deactivated?

Is the Z68 Chipset compatible with the other components I chose?
I didn't see that the Graphics card was deactivated. Could you recommend a similar replacement?
Thanks for replying.
