This is a very bad idea and im not gonna do it until i know if its fine but will a A10-9700 stock cooler strong enough to handle a ryzen 5 1600X
The 1600 will boost it's cores to 3.6ghz when needed while the 1600X is 4ghz which may not be much of a performance difference. The biggest thing with AMD Ryzen (over clock speeds IMHO) is memory speed. You want 3000mhz preferably in dual channel.the reason is because i got A320M chip :/ so i cant overclock and 3.2ghz is kinda slow for me so if i had a b45 i would buy 1600 and oc

Try it and just keep an eye on your temps, use AMD Ryzen Master to monitor.

Just wondering, why not just get a Ryzen 1600? It comes with a good stock cooler and should be able to overclock to 1600X speeds with a B350, B450, X370, X470 or X570 board.
1600x dont come with a coolerDon't. The A10-9700 stock cooler is made for a CPU with TDP of 65Watts.
The Ryzen 1600X is a CPU with a TDP of 95Watts. Use the stock cooler of the 1600x.

1600x dont come with a cooler
The problem is that if you use a smaller rated cooler and your 1600X gets too hot it will throttle performance, possibly worse then the 1600 to keep it within safe temps.1600x dont come with a cooler
But 1000 supports 2666mhz or am i dumb? The 1600 will boost it's cores to 3.6ghz when needed while the 1600X is 4ghz which may not be much of a performance difference. The biggest thing with AMD Ryzen (over clock speeds IMHO) is memory speed. You want 3000mhz preferably in dual channel.
Its to late sad i have already add it to cart and bought it and they dont sell 1600af in my countryYou may be able to use it, but I wouldn't recommend it.
You can find a cheap tower cooler for like $15-30 depending on the model and location.
Try to find a 1600ae or a 1600af. These come with a stock cooler.
The Ryzen 5 1600af for like $85 is essentially a Ryzen 5 2600.
It does but performs vastly better up to 3000mhz on a A320 board. The testing I've done showed about a 25 FPS difference between 2133 & 3200mhz or at the very least little to no FPS dips. But 1000 supports 2666mhz or am i dumb?
I think of buying an noctua idk the product nameThe problem is that if you use a smaller rated cooler and your 1600X gets too hot it will throttle performance, possibly worse then the 1600 to keep it within safe temps.
i think its an NH-U12Shttps://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-AM4-Stock-Ryzen-Socket-Cooler-Heatsink-Fan-712-000055-REV-D/303292888493?epid=7033697557&hash=item469daa35ad:g:wrAAAOSwsw9d3sun&LH_BIN=1
$10 for a Wraith Spire, a 95w heatsync for AM4. Comes stock with CPUs like the Ryzen 5 1600, 2600x, and 3600x.
It will work fine.
Noctua makes many models. What model? Noctua is a good brand in general.
