Is this system alright?

Im upgrading my PC parts and I was wondering if this is alright.

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 4GB

CPU: i7 4790K

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97-D3H

PSU: Thermaltake Litepower 700W (This PSU is old and Im not sure if it'll work with the new parts so If anyone could tell me that would be great!)

Ram: 16GB (Not sure about the brand etc..)

This is what I will probably be building so I was wondering if I should be replacing anything or making any adjustments?

This system looks very nice. If the psu is old and not being a very good psu, I would recommend you buy a Seasonic 620.

I was wondering if the PSU would actually be compatible with these parts or how I could check? If i have to buy a new one then that'll go over my budget haha

It might work but I really would advice against it. This are very expensive parts, you don't want to kill them. If this is for gaming, why don't you go with an i5 and get a psu?

Because I'm planning to stick with these parts for the next 2-3 years most likely so I would like to get good ones which will last a long time, I guess I'll check how much the good PSUs are these days.

Cerberusbeast, the best psu for you would be the Seasonic 620 which is about 55 dollars. I would advice you get an i5 4690k, it performs almost the same than the i7 4790k in gaming and will be a lot cheaper.
