I have recently designed a very expensive system and i want to check with people who actually know what they are doing (i.e. not me) whether the system at all bottlenecked or not, and as to any upgrades I can make in the $5000 Price Bracket.
It's got a custom water cooling system in it because I want to try the whole D.I.Y aspect of the system.

Here is the system, it is in AUD and all prices are quoted from www.pccasegear.com

Thanks for reading this, and thanks for any help.

The graphics will be a huge bottleneck if you intend to do any gaming on it. Even for light gaming, at least get a 750 Ti with that kind of money.
Edit: Did my eyes literally slide over that post five times? Must need new glasses. A 970 is fine, although if you are spending that much I might get something a bit more powerful... Think 980 Ti

$4270 is a lot of money to spend on a system with those kind of specs. You could build the same system for half the price if you got rid of some of the non-functional extras. You have over $1000 in cooling equipment there, and it's not really going to yield performance over top of what you'd get with a big air cooler or AIO system for less than $200. A Geforce 970 doesn't run that hot and isn't going to benefit much from water cooling.

You've got a lot of storage on there but you don't have a PCI-E SSD like a Samsung 950 Pro or Intel 750, which would massively improve storage performance. I'd dump some of the extras, go for a GTX 980 TI and PCI-E SSD at the least.

Computesecurityguy he is using a gtx970 if anything he should go with a gtx980ti not a 750ti anyways the only real bottleneck i see besides using the gtx 970 instead of a gtx 980ti is that he should drop the 2tb hdd and get a bigger ssd drive 120gb on a ssd is a joke

no offence but this build is a just a big waste of money in some components (and dunno where you live but they are way overpriced)

Yep i agree, cooling system is a just a waste of money on this system especially on the gtx970
Don't get "Gaming" stuff, they mostly suck and cost more, the asrock extreme 6 or 4 are just as good.
If you are just going to game with this machine you would get same performance with an i5-6600k
The psu is excellent but way too big and overpriced, this build works flawlessly with a 550w, i suggest you to buy an Evga G2 650w which is the best in his voltage range
Nvidia should launch new gpus during the summer, you could wait for them but if u need the graphic card now, spend less for cooling and buy a R9 Fury which is going to be much better than the actual 980 cause of DX12 support.
32gb of ram are useless if you don't do editing or rendering in a professional way and since you have a Z170 mobo buy some Corsair Vengance LPX 3000mhz CL15 or g.skill tridentz 3200mhz (2x8gb are enough)
Change the ssd for a 250gb, you can get a Samsung EVo 850 or if you want to spend more a 950pro
Asus just released a 24" monitor IPS with 2 ms Asus VC239H
Fan controller not needed the Mobo has plenty of 4 pins connector, you are going to control the spinning via mobo and u can always buy some y splitters for 4$
300$ on keyboard and mouse ---> Cooler Master Octane Kit 60$ same result

I think he was being funny, or trying.
I think the point was that a very solid gaming computer can be built for a lot less money. People are more accustomed to working within considerably tighter budgets, and/or they have specific goals in mind (e.g. "Play 'Everybody Dies' with max settings at 1920x1080, and stream my music collection to the stereo in the basement")

I'm sorry for any confusion I made with this post. Reading the answers I'm getting quite confused myself lol.
I am upgrading to a stronger rig because I have the money. I want to start YouTube which is why the Elgato HD60 Pro.
The watercooling loop is mainly for show but I do intend on attempting to overclock.
The prices I left are from a site that I found today was about 20-50 dollars more expensive then anywhere else.
I don't know much about this so any help is greatly appreciated.
Sorry for any confusion
Thanks for all your replies
