thinking about buying a system from a friend.

PC has: Intel i9 12900 processor, 32 gig ram, 3090 gpu, M.2 500gig with a psu. He put a custom water loop on the system. Hes giving me a deal of $800. And i saw a live video on the sytem everything is in good working order. I dont like custom water loops due to leaks. Is it possible to take off the custom loop and get fans back on everything.

It is probably a good deal given the 3090 gpu.
You certainly could replace a custom loop with a fine air cooler for $100.
The potential issue is the quality pf the power supply. What is the make/model?

Lastly, do you love the case? If not do not buy.

Finally got the pc that i bought from my friend for 800$. It has Intel Core I9 11900k@3.5GHz, Mag Z590 Tomahawk Wifi, Corsair 32gb ram@3000, XPG M.2 2280 1TB, Evga Supernova 850 G+psu, Evga Geforce RTX 3090 24GB with a water block, Case is a Bitspower Titan Series with a built in custom loop. Everything is in good working order. The only problem im having is high temps on CPU and GPU due to only having 1 360mm Rad. with 3 fans. I just added 3 corsair fans and a noctua fan i had. GPU temps highest so far memory and hotspot 92C, CPU in Mid 80s. He couldnt get the tubes to go straight but it works doesnt leak. Kinda thinking about putting the gpu off of the loop just dont know what heatsink, backplate and fans to get for it.

That was an insane good deal.

From what I can tell this is a "prebuild" water cooling setup. I am not sure it came complete so far as the main hardware (CPU/Mobo/RAM) but see that there are configurations available on their site for the type socket you want to use.

IMO, if that bottom area can have that plate removed and (3x) fans placed there, I mean, really only two since there is one, on intake to blow air up to the top may deal with that. The case appears to be an 011D.

Could be worthwhile to check the block to see if any funk has built up in the fins.

I would also check your BIOS setup specific to the 11th gen i9. They have a boost tech thing that you can increase for better clocks and also an unlocked voltage modifier which essentially goes from something like the 150 normal voltage to something like 250. (I would have to load into my own BIOS to see exactly what that is). I would suggest to disable that feature entirely and see if your temps come more in line.
