This is on the OC on 3642 i think.. I had to bump it up a little bit to get the 2400 MHz out of my ram.. Is this temps acceptalbe? Will they damage my CPU? It's on a 3770k with the stock cooler.. Benchmark: 4, 4K pics rendered in Cinema 4D.. Took halv an hour :)

Asus P8Z77-V LK and Kingston HyperX Beast 2400 MHz

ur mobo supports upto 2400Mhz memory with O.C, try getting a low memory stick like 2133 and O.C/downclock the memory u currently have, it would reduce the temps quite a bit.

Yeah.. I did that in the beginning. But the temps.. are they too high? Will they damage my cpu?

They won't necessarily damage your CPU, but they will degrade the longevity of it.

IMO=In My Opinion

I would get some thermal paste (Arctic Cooling MX-4 is my preferred paste) and reseat the heatsink:

1. Detach heatsink.
2. Clean heatsink and the CPU's IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader, the metal on top) with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth/rag/etc. Make sure there is no thermal paste left.
3. Put a dot in the center of the IHS (picture below). About that size or a little bigger.
4. Reseat heatsink.

I'm getting a H100i in august so I'll just take back my overclock untill then 😉 But thanks!

Your cooler is installed wrong. This has nothing to do with the overclock. You need to reinstall the cooler or risk killing your chip quickly
