Hi this is KRUNNCH again the (Gigabyte overclocker guy before, but things have changed).

I just recently returned by Vantec CPU cooler, Gigabyte 8KNXP, 2x256 PC3500 Kingston.

I'm currently debating whether to run this setup.
Abit IC7-MAX3 (Buy it)
OCZ PC4000 Gold Edition (2x256) (Buy it)
Watercool my entire setup (Going to buy)
Gainward 5900 XP1200 or 5900 Ultra XP1600 (Buy it)

I want the most overclockability out of my P4 2.4CGhz. Any suggestions on this setup would be appreciated.

The Epox mobo series would be highly recommended for the OCZ memory because it allows higher vdimm. WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T BUY THE 5900ULTRA, the 9800pro 256meg is a much better choice, for the same price.

Have you been keeping up with the news? It turns out FX cards are not 100% DX9 compliant, and suffer sever performance penalties when DX9 features are enabled. It's all over the net, check your local news site, don't take my word for it!

Crashman is the FX series better at handling OpenGL than the ATI cards?

1 more question how long are you planning to keep your CPU?

Yes they are because of their pure bandwidth. But any advanced api and it needs optimizing for like HL2 and DX9.... Unless they can cure 20-40% perf loss WITHOUT loosing so much I.Q....

Ok, Oh well, I guess once 9800pro runs at 450/370 (which is what i leave it at now) shouldn't be that much worse in OpenGL than 5900ultra right?
