Ok, maybe the title is little confusing but what I want to ask is very simple but I still don't fully understand.
My Q is about how does the GPU memory overclocking works.
Ok so, I have GTX 1060 6GB she is 8008Mhz Memory Speed and 1506 Core Clock with Turbo Boost 2.0 to 1709, ok but the core clock it doesn't matter here, so in theory, the memory speed, let's say on MSI afterburner is been displayed as half like 8008 Mhz = 4004 right, lets take this example ok.
So let's say I overclock my memory with 750Mhz in which that my max I can OC on my Strix Rog 1060
so with 750mhz + the MSI afterburner will display that the current memory clock it's 4754Mhz right and that's what exactly shows every time, so when I apply this 750Mhz to the memory here is the question
DOES the MEMORY now is 8758Mhz in total OR she is been doubled as when applying those 750Mhz and it is now 9508Mhz as when applied 4758 x 2 = 9508Mhz or the memory its just 8758Mhz which halved its 4379Mhz, I think you guys understood me right, this is what bothers me and I don't know how much is the real clock. Please if you guys the experts on Graphics Memory and Overclocking knows this please tell me how much is my clock on the end when that 750Mhz are been applied.
Thank you a lot, if I confused you in any way or you misunderstood something just ask me back and I'll tell you what you need to know or whatever it's the question.
