Is this Toshiba P55t-C5114 laptop worth $300?

Is this laptop worth $300? It is in used but good condition.
As to what I want to do with it, well I play some games such as;
Rome total war 2
Attila total war
Thief 4
europa universalis 4
Crusader kings 2
Civilization 5, although I would not mind getting civilization 6 if this laptop can run it.
Pillars of faith.
-I wonder if this laptop would run witcher 3?
I also use it for some browsing, social media, watching movies and writing on Microsoft word.

It's using an iGPU. Google- Intel hd graphics 520 for framerates.

It would likely not be playable in witcher 3.

For $300 it's a good value, though.

So I will not be able to use the dedicated graphics card for gaming?
Will it run the other games at least?
How do I know if a laptop uses IGPU rather then DGPU?

The laptop has a nVidia 930m, but it is a pretty weak dedicated GPU. See link below for some game benchmarks.

Thief 2014 should be playable at 1024x768 resolution using low graphic settings. However, The Witcher 3 is a pretty demanding game with average FPS of less than 30FPS with the lowest settings and resolution. It should be playable since it is a 3rd person game (compared to a 1st person shooter), but I don't know how enjoyable it will be.

The nVidia Control Panel will allow you to will allow to to set the preferred GPU in Global Settings. It also allows to to individually select which GPU to use for each game if you choose to do so.

Is the iGPU in this laptop better then the dGPU?
Will it play civ6?
Total war Rome 2 and attila? EU4 and CK2?

The 930m is definitely more powerful.

Civ 6 should be playable on low settings. TW: Rome 2 should not be a problem. CK2 and EU4 are somewhat old games and I believe they use the same game engine so they should be playable.

Do you think this laptop will be a down grade?

It actually has a dedicated GPU at $300? I assumed not because of the low price.

The 930m is about 50% faster than the HD 520.

The i5-6200u should perform about the same as a 4th gen dual core i7 CPU.

For $300 it is a good deal. You would need to spend $550 for laptop with a i5-7200u and 940mx.

Normally you would have to spend 400+ dollars to get a laptop like that. That is a good deal.
