[SOLVED] Is this triple core cpu any good?

It is AMD Phenom X3 8600B cpu.
I would use it for non-intensive gaming and daily tasks.
Soo is it any good??(I am on a budget)
Another option is AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+.

Well....it's very slow by today's standards....but it would work for really basic games and things like word processing and spreadsheets etc.

Yeah its a bit dated, I wouldn't expect it to play many newer triple A games, but certainly older titles it should do ok.

what is your motherboard part no. or model no. supported CPU's vary for different motherboards and usually depend on BIOS version number too.
