Is this upgrade a good idea?

Hello, I am looking to upgrade my PC and I've talked with multiple people and read multiple reviews, and made some choices. Are these options a good idea for running games at decent settings?

My computer specs:
Operating System:
Windows 7 Home Premium

CPU:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz

GPU:
AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series 1GB

RAM:
6.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 330MHz

Motherboard:
ASUS P5QL-E

You can run most games at decent settings with that. If you can find a cheap GTX 770 for about $200-250, then go for that.

i would go with a 270x or a 280 instead of the older 660, but you might want to wait on the GPU until the 960 comes out in jan 22. (i dont know what it will cost, but keep an eye out)
