Solution
This is about the best I can do at that price range, without dropping on the quality of components any further as these others have done to fit under the cap, unless you want to drop the CPU down to a Ryzen 5 2600 instead of the 2600x, which is an option but probably results in an inferior piece of silicon but maybe not enough so to make it a deal breaker.

As for the prices you see, IDK. I have rebates turned off in PCPP, so those should be the actual prices not counting any tax (Despite it saying it includes tax. It never does). I have changed it to use only Newegg and Amazon though, as some of the other vendors try to get around the exclusion in PCPP for rebates by calling them promos when in fact they are actual MIR. Shouldn't be...
Every manufacturer, even historically including those that are long gone, has had driver issues from time to time. It's just that for a while there the AMD problems weren't with a specific driver release or device, they were pretty widespread and for some users, for a fairly long time. They don't have this problem so much anymore as they've totally revised the driver framework with the introduction of Crimson, and actually for a bit prior to that at the end of CCC they had most problem ironed out.

Like I said though, many users might still have a bad taste in their mouth from rinsing with CCC back in the day.

hey bud just want to follow up with you.

Im getting this PC for my birthday in about 2-3 weeks.

Is there any updates to the build or anything cheaper? Thanks ahead of time :)

Sorry man, but Tom's hardware just went through a complete change of forum software over the last couple of weeks and most of my followed threads no longer showed up as tracked. I had to manually go through threads I've posted in the past to find the ones that had replies I never responded to. Are you still looking to build or have you already ordered your parts?

Im still looking to build and want the most up to date best performance/price list (please with Nvidia graphics).

Im going to have a slightly higher budget at 700$ so it would be cool to see what you got. Ill be ordering the pc around the 25th. :)

also the previous build you gave me I was going to buy for 637$ with the 1060 6gb , most of the prices listed are way higher when I click the item ...

Would that system still be within the 700$ max with no rebates now?

if not can you give me a full system (without windows Ill get win 10 free) with no rebates, 700$ max that is up to date WITH NVIDIA :) ?

ALSO, Id be willing to pay a little extra say, 750$ for a PRE BUILT if you could also suggest one thatd be awesome. Like is this any good for being pre-built? https://www.amazon.com/iBUYPOWER-Fallout-Basic-Computer-DDR4-2666/dp/B07N29Z4CG/ref=sr_1_18?keywords=gaming+pc&qid=1552728290&refinements=p_36:65000-75000&rnid=386442011&s=pc&sr=1-18 I have prime so I can get it for 719$ with 2 day shipping. However Id prefer to have the ryzen chipset. idk.

or this? Would it be worth buying and upgrade the cpu later? Or is the cpu bad? https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-Compu...00&rnid=386442011&s=pc&sr=1-9#customerReviews

Naturally, if the CPU runs at half speed, that makes either the CPU or mainboard effectively worthless in the value equation, and the cost goes upward of $250 pretty quickly. (I'd be curious to know if the mainboard would throttle if given a little airflow across the VRM components, as many woould throttle when folks switched to AIO affairs, which then deprived the chipsets with any cooling from the CPU fan's downdraft/secondary cooling effect...

I put together this system.

Will it run GTA V and newer games like Black Ops 4 / Apex / Fornite at medium-high settings at 1080p 60 fps?

The 1660 is going to have significantly better performance, measurable, than the GTX 1600.

Hey Dark I did see your previous message before u did the edit. I was so positive I could find a better system for that price and tbh, your pc price parts list led me to their website and Ive done some digging, searching n bla bla bla.

However I feel this build could do more for me, even with the rebates, than ur build did. Ur build did change on me a cpl time however after actually using the pcpp website i see why as Im trying to build my own.

Ty for taking the time but if u can match me on better quality/price on this build, lmk asap bcuz im ordering in about 5 days.

Ryzen needs fast ram to perform optimally. You want atleast ddr4 2933. However ddr4 300 is usually cheaper than 2933, this is why Darkbreeze and I used ddr4 3000 is our proposed builds.
Here's one with a bigger faster SSD, faster ram and a faster GPU.

There's lots of things you can do differently if you're willing to have to deal with mail in rebates. But, if you actual dollars you have to spend is X, and the build is beyond that in terms of X+mail in rebate difference, that's often a deal breaker for many people which is why I don't show them usually. Any of these builds is and are good options.

By the time you pay for the mail in rebates, you're going to pay as much as what my build without them runs, plus you will lack the 16GB of RAM I included, the higher end Turing graphics card, a better case and a better motherboard. If you want to pay 63.00 for a power supply, I'd suggest you also want to look at something better than the CX series of units. They are ok, but now you're getting into the price range of much better power supplies, at least if you're including the mail in rebates.

This Antec Earthwatts unit is the same platform as the Seasonic Focus units, with Gold efficiency and semi-modular. 7 year warranty versus the five year warranty on that Corsair unit.
