Okay So I have been doing some digging into GPU overclocking.

I wanted to try over clock my Radeon HD 3870X2 as I am due to replace it before summers end.

I read online that the default clocks are
Core - 825mHz
Memory - 900mHz

But mine reads as

Core - 825 mHz
Memory 1802mHz

On both Sapphire TriXX and Asus GPU Tweak

could this be why the driver fails and reloads or why the heat is so much?

is it right or wrong or is it that high because it's accounting for both GPUs and not one? (syncing?)

thank you

Okay, so it's all normal cause I thought it was a bit weird it being 1.8GHz HA!

Thank you

any ideas why it blank screen then reloads driver? with a bollon that says AMD Display Driver Failed and has recovered?

on latest drivers all up to date as well

I use Asus gpu app to have fan running between 35% and 50% when idle due to idle temp at 71dC

Windows 7 Ultimate (dell OEM) 64bit
Intel Core2 Do E8200
Dell XPS 730 motherboard 4GB ddr3 ram
1kw PSU
GPU is dell released too.
