Is this worth an upgrade?

Hi guys. I'd appreciate any insight!

I have recently found a buyer for my old rig, which would allow me to buy a new rig.

Please indicate whether you think this is worth the upgrade. I'd really appreciate it!

Note that I have already bought a Gigabyte R9 290x, so whether I use my old or new rig, the gpu would stay the same. The issue is, is that when playing battlefield 4 on my old rig, the frames slowly but surely drop from 100 avg on ultra to 60 average, and for a 290x, that feels a bit low, but I may be wrong (running at 1920x1080)

Old rig:

P67 - GD65 mobo, military class 2
Core i7 2600 (non k) @ 3.4 ghz
8 gigs (4x2) corsair vengeance 1333 MHz
Corsair Silent Pro 850 watt
1TB HDD Seagate
Nice Coolermaster case (sorry, not sure of code number)

New rig:

MSI gaming z87-g45
Core i7 4770k @3.5ghz
8 gigs (4x2) corsair vengeance pro 1600mhz (maybe 1866)
Antec gold certified 1050watt
128GB SSD (storage space not an issue, got hard drives lying around)
Any decent case with sufficient cooling, nothing fancy

Here is the kicker. I have an offer for the old rig, for the equivalent of $600. The new system would cost me $1000. Therefore, I am basically asking, for that extra $400, is it worth the upgrade?

Bear in mind, I will be clocking in a few months, and I will be going crossfire with another 290x in about 6 months.

No it's not worth upgrade your system is still solid for gaming!
But it's worth only because of second 290X!
