This is good balanced configuration, its worth considering used GPU at this budget too.

I have used WD for ages now, just like Seagate and Hitachi. I never had issues with any of them. There are faulty products in every product line.
I'm not talking about issues, I'm talking about Raw Space for $2 extra gives you twice the size. Yes, I agree, many hard disks fail, just look at backblaze.
But if you look at the last 100 Pcpartpicker builds with a HDD, most will pick a 1TB Blue WD, which is just a trend and not picked for size or anything, just cheapness which again makes no sense as its only $2 more for twice the space.

Not a trend. Its just conspicuous towards the top of the chart and to most people it simply doesnt matter. Now that you have mentioned it, this is actually better...

I wont go with the 2TB one as it has only 32mb Buffer Cache.

by the way, if you mind would you answer these?
Why are some gpus so similar in price while they differ in performance? for example:
https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-AOR...=aorus+rx+570&qid=1557264574&s=gateway&sr=8-1 160 and 4gb.
https://www.amazon.com/MSI-RX-570-A...=aorus+rx+570&qid=1557264574&s=gateway&sr=8-2 165 and 8gb.
is there something im missing that makes the price so high compared to yours like what does the OC mean or Armor etc

also, whats the next best thing instead of a r3 2200g? And I heard some people say 2666mhz is the best performance you can get without overclocking, andd I dont plan to overclock (new to PCs)

For a particular model of GPU, all its variants perform around the same range. Some are high priced due to extra cooling features or cosmetic enhancement which are ideally not worth considering unless you are at an exceptionally humid region or building a showpiece. Among the 570 8gb and 4gb model, i would grab the 8gb any day as it will perform better.
Ryzen performs better with higher frequency RAM and the sweet spot is usually 3000mhz/3200mhz. The board supports upto 3200mhz rated speed without overclocking.
If you wanna go for a better chip, wait a few more days as Ryzen 2 is going to launch this month.

Okay! I’m also going to do recording/editing for me and my friends, so i want a processor that can handle that. I don’t know what ryzen 2 is but, when it releases what do you think is a good choice for my 500$ budget?

also I live in Hawaii so uhm.. kind of humid but not really bad I don’t notice it. What is the cheapest card without any fancy cooling techniques or whatever? The one you listed?

When Ryzen 2 comes, you either get better stuff at same price range or same stuff at lower price range. Thats the advantage of a generation launch. For now, this is as good as it gets for $500...

Okay thanks! I’ll wait for the ryzen 2 gen. Do you mind updating me when it releases on a good budget build for around that price? Thanks. Also what are mail in rebates and is it hard to build a pc
