Around christmas time since I have old Motherboard. uneven ram and wanted a overclocking i7 but is it worth it since the new 7th generation cpus are coming out. But the ones I have been looking at isnt much or even better then the i7 6700k right now. Will this motherboard even fit a 7th generation i7?

Not really. There is minimal to no gain. You will also need to get a new z170 motherboard and ddr4 ram as well.

Not worth it, generation over generation there is only about a 10% difference in performance.
What are your current specs?
If you're gaming you may want to look at a graphics card upgrade.
What are your uses for this system?
What is your budget?

Even out your ram, ram is not expensive.
