I'm going to use this pc as a productivity and gaming pc. do you think the parts are good, if not tell me why and what would be better. and can this overclock? like the mobo is it any good for oc? Here's a part list if you want to see it istead of reading the specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/stivenlipan/saved/#view=pGdBmG
and the monitor I use is a: LG 25UM58-P
The build includes: Intel Xeon E5640, hyper 212 evo, foxconn renaissance x58 lga 1366 mobo, single 8gb of crucial ballistix sport, dual channel sk hynix 8gb ram, 1tb wd blue hdd, zotac mini gtx1050 ti, s12ll 620w psu.

Solution
Xeons cannot overclock, at least by multiplier adjustment. And LGA1366 actually had triple channel RAM so realistically you'd want 3 or 6 sticks of memory, not 1 or 2.

The CPU is essentially a locked i7-920, which given its generation and clock speed should perform about half as well as a 7700K.

There's the other question of what monitor you'd use. A 1050Ti is fine for 1080p @ 60Hz, and while the CPU might bottleneck it a bit it wouldn't be insane.

Performance-wise, expect similar to a Core i3 from, say, Skylake. In single threaded applications, the Core i3 would actually smoke the Xeon E5640.

I'd seriously think about pricing out a Core i3 made from new parts since that would give you more options later on and paired with a...

IMO, the reason people are interested in X58 boards is so they can drop a used server farm CPU in there to get a cheap 6 core setup. Those used Xeon CPUs really make more sense on a dual LGA1366 board as they give you a pretty cheap 12C/24T setup.
