Is turning computer on and off many times bad for CPU and system?

Hello everyone,

I seem to be in a big problem. I went back to Windows 7 from Windows 10. However, the Installation CD booted up with no mouse or keyboard so I had to manually shut it off a good 3 or 4 times with the power button. When I got the Windows 7 installed with a CD I had, it was a 32 bit CD. The drivers I am downloading for my Z97 G45 Gaming Motherboard are not completely working. Some worked, but not my network driver. I go to the network driver to install it but it only shows Windows 7 64, Windows 832, Windows 8 64, etc. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? 🙁

I guess I need to buy a Windows 7 64 bit installation CD. Several times I shut down the computer as soon as Windows launched because I missed the boot key or bios key or whatever. So within 5 minutes I probably turned it on and off another 3 or 4 times, plus the couple times I did it by the button.

Will this damage my system or parts? I have a great system and always dust it about once a month or every 2-3 months.

I have a :
Intel i5 4690K
GTX 960 4GB OC Edition MSI
8 GB RAM
Z97 G45 Gaming Motherboard

You need to use the black USB slots for Win 7 to see the USB KB/Mouse during install. Win 7 doesn't know what USB 3 is until you load drivers after the install.

I see Windows 7 32bit drivers right Here, a big selection including killer network card.

Mind you, you need Win 7 64 bit to use all your ram, it will only see 3.5gb and ignore the rest.

Why are you avoiding win 10? what were the problems you had?

Do you have an SSD or HDD? The restarts shouldn't bother any part apart from a hdd.
